Physical Education
The 9th grade Health course is designed to make students aware of the human body - physically, mentally, socially and emotionally. It teaches the students to strive to live one's life to its full potential. Students learn emergency life-saving skills including first aid and CPR. The course helps the students become aware of today's issues and strives to instill the skills to cope with daily living.
Physical Education promotes unity of the mind and the body. PE at MHS provides an innovative and diverse program of physical activities to promote, achieve, and maintain physical fitness and healthy living. It develops knowledge and understanding of physical activity and its role in maintaining physical, mental, and emotional health. PE develops respectful and responsible attitudes, social cooperation, and leadership skills. And it develops a variety of physical skills and techniques of lifetime sports and recreational activities. Find more information at our department website.
