Mukwonago Area School District Community Education Program on Hold
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the MASD Community Education program is on hiatus until further notice. Our district’s first priority is the students in our schools and their education. All energies in the district are going towards creating the best opportunities and use of resources for them before reinstating Community Education.
What Classes Were Held?
We were very excited about our launch and interest shown by the community when we opened in winter, 2020. Before halting activities, we were able to hold Yoga, cooking, woodworking, and crafts classes and offered Indoor Winter Walking at the high school.
In the Works Before Being Halted
Plans were in place to offer a huge host of opportunities this spring, summer, and fall! Travel Photography, Financial Education, Fitness, Essential Oils Exploration and various arts and crafts classes were planned along with introductions to topics such as Medicare, Information Technology, and Real Estate Investing. A monthly Gardening Exploration and a focus on Technology for Seniors were two theme-related ongoing series that were also in the works. These plans remain on the back burner. However, our on-line registration format has given us a proven structure for advertising and enrollment and will be easy to resurrect at the appropriate time.
Will it Return?
Community Education will return in the future when we are sure our main priorities with students have been met and we know and have in place the appropriate precautions and safety measures for use of the buildings with public groups.
