MHS Science Teacher - Chemistry Email Phone: (262) 363-6200 x25280 My name is Lynda Troeger and I teach AP Chemistry and Honors Chemistry at Mukwonago High School. I am also the Science Club Advisor. I grew-up and attended High School in Muskego, WI. After graduation I attended the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee where I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Clinical Laboratory Science (medical technology) and worked for many years as the laboratory manager for a group of physicians in the Milwaukee area. When my children were older, I returned to UWM and received my teaching certificate in chemistry and biology and soon after my Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction.
I love to be outside and my hobbies include traveling, skiing, kayaking, hiking, biking, boating and playing pickle ball and tennis. I also love to garden, sew and cook, read and take walks with my collie.
Google Classroom is where you will find a class monthly calendar, notes, worksheets, activities and additional study aides and videos to enhance the learning experience in my classroom. Using this platform, students can easily keep up-to-date if they should need to miss class. I will also record any lesson that a student would like as long as they request this.
My philosophy of teaching is that students learn best when they take an active part in their education and my chemistry courses reflect this. My hope is that all students will leave my class with a greater understanding of the world around them and a desire to continue their science education.
I love to hear from parents! Please contact me (e-mail is usually best) about any questions or concerns you may have. I will promptly return an email or you can let me know a time that is convenient for me to call.
Education is not the learning of facts, but the training of the mind to think.
