MHS SOAR Teacher Email Phone: (262) 666-4951 A little about me:
I grew up in Waukesha, WI, which is where I lived until moving to Mukwonago in 2018.
I attended UW Waukesha for my associates degree with emphasis in psychology; followed by UW Milwaukee where I obtained my bachelors degree in Criminal Justice with the hopes of working with at risk juveniles. I then continued to obtain my Masters degree in Special Education at UW Whitewater.
During my time teaching, I have worked with students’ age 3 through twenty-one, as a child care teacher during and after high school, a substitute in many districts and grades, as a teacher in a middle school, and now through MHS-SOAR.
My knowledge of relating to my students and families extends beyond the traditional classroom. My husband and I have fostered children with Waukesha County, and attended many conferences, and classes pertaining to trauma related care, youth mental health, drugs and alcohol in children and many other topics.
My husband, and I live in the area in a home we are fixing up ourselves. In our spare time we enjoy vacationing, camping, kayaking, hiking, card/board games (especially Cribbage and Uno Flip), and playing with our dogs. We foster dogs and puppies with a non-profit Wisconsin rescue.
I am excited to find myself here at SOAR where I get to work with amazing students every day. We laugh together, learn together, and grow together. Please do not hesitate to contact me with questions or concerns you may have.
