- The library media center and its resources are open to students, parents, and community members.
- Students visit the library media center weekly.
- During weekly visits the students are introduced to a variety of literature, information literacy skills, and are able to checkout materials. The students will be learning through Project Lead The Way Launch curriculum.
- Learning within the library media center is highly collaborative. Students have opportunities to grow their communication, problem-solving and leadership skills. We often learn through strategic play to foster creativity and curious learners.
Teaching Philosophy
My goal is to build a collaborative school culture where students and teachers find inspiration to become life-long learners. I strive to create student excitement about learning through the participation of engaging and innovative lessons.
Library Mission Statement
The mission of the Prairie View Elementary Library is to ensure that all students and staff are effective and creative users of ideas, technology, and information.
Volunteers
The Library needs volunteers for circulation duties and for help with the upkeep of library materials. Any parents who are willing to lend a hand in the library is welcomed and needed. Please see the library technology specialist to fill out an informational form before getting started. No previous experience is necessary. The Library technology specialist will train you as needed.
