Nutrient data for most Mukwonago School District menu items is available by clicking on the link below. Explanation of Portion Size
Portion sizes may differ for various grade levels. Therefore, a menu item may specify the grade levels receiving that portion size. For example, Chicken Nuggets K-5, 4 each means that this portion (four nuggets) is served to students in kindergarten through grade 5. Chicken Nuggets 6-8, 5 each means that this portion (five nuggets) is served to students in grades 6 through 8. Items identified with an "A" are the portions served to adult staff members and visiting parents.
Our school lunch menus are routinely audited by the State Department of Public Instruction and the United States Department of Agriculture to ensure compliance with federal nutrition standards. Lunch menus, when averaged over a school week, must meet 1/3 of the Recommended Dietary Allowances (RDA) for calories, protein, calcium, iron, vitamin A and vitamin C. More information regarding the USDA menu requirements for school lunch can be found at http://www.fns.usda.gov/cnd/Governance/Legislation/nutritionstandards.htm.
