2014 Rolling Hills School Report Card Score

We are proud of our students' achievement.  We have high expectations for our students, because we believe that students can meet rigorous standards with support from teachers and parents.  We feel confident that our high scores on the WKCE and related assessments show our commitment to excellence.

During the past three years, Rolling Hills has been rated as "Exceeds Expectations" on the Department of Public Instruction's School Report Cards.

District Writing Assessment

In addition to state tests, our students also participate in a variety of district-level assessments.  One of these is our district writing assessment, which was recently expanded to include third through sixth grades.

We assess students' writing on this assessment (and in our classrooms) using the six traits of writing: ideas, organization, voice, word choice, sentence fluency, and conventions.  A score of a 2.50 is considered proficient.  Our students score, on average, significantly above that benchmark in every grade for every trait!
