• Baking (Varies)  Baked goods are occasionally requested for functions at Park View. This list of volunteers is called on to bake goods and deliver them to school the day of the function. A great way for parents who aren’t available during the day to be involved.

  • Campbell's Soup Labels - Count the soup labels turned in to each house throughout the year. Use the label count to pick out various items for the classrooms.

  • Conference Night Dinners (October & March) - One night during conferences dinner is served for staff allowing them a delicious meal before the long evening of conferences. Committee members plan the meal, organize donations & volunteers and oversee the serving of the meal and cleanup. Help is needed in preparing the food, setup and cleanup.

  • Eighth Grade Picnic (June) - An end of the year picnic for eighth grade students. Grilled hamburgers, soda and chips are served and enjoyed outdoors, weather permitting. Committee volunteers help cook and serve food at this much-enjoyed activity.

  • Eighth Grade Dance - A spring dance to mark the end of eighth grade. Committee needed to organize this fun event. Food can be ordered through the central kitchen. A fountain is rented and punch is made for the event. The committee arranges for volunteers to serve the food that evening.

  • General Mills Box Tops for Education - Collect General Mills box tops from the designated classrooms. Send them in to receive funds from General Mills.

  • Ice Cream Social (April) - An ice cream social for all incoming 7th grade students. Committee members schedule events for the evening that allow incoming students a taste of what life at Park View Middle School is like. Events usually include a fashion show organized by student government, entertainment by either the band, orchestra, or choir department and speakers representing different school departments. It may also include activities that acclimate the students and their families to the layout of the building. The focus of the evening is ice cream, with various toppings, scooped and served by PAG volunteers.

  • PAG Display Case - This display case is used to highlight Parent Advisory Group activities, including Student Activity Night, PAG Meetings, etc. Parent volunteer needed to keep this case updated.

  • Staff Appreciation Week (May) - A week, sometimes based on a theme, where staff are treated to daily random acts of kindness, which include a variety of treats limited only by budget and the creativity and energy of committee volunteers. The week is focused on saying thanks to the staff for all their hard work during the year.

  • Student Activity Night - This is a fun night for the students which includes inflatables (slide, obstacle course), DJ Dance, Karaoke, Basketball, Foosball, Sumo Wrestling, Games, Movies, Snacks, and more! Committee needed to organize this event which takes place two times a year.

  • Student Directory - A directory listing of students which is organized in book form. Forms are mailed out in August requesting which, if any, information parents want included in the directory. This information is organized on a database, which is used to create the directory.
