We would like to give a special shout out to Big Bend Elementary School for collectively finishing 20th in the 2017 6th grade Wisconsin Mathematics League contest. But a special congratulations is in order for Emmitt who individually finished 21st overall in the state. Way to go Emmitt!

 

BBES Scholastics' Book Fair Contest

Big Bend Elementary earns 2nd Place in Scholastic's National Book Fair Contest!

BBES is proud to earn once again a second place in the Scholastic Book Fair’s Fall 2016 National Elementary Contest! Congratulations to Julie Kastello and the book fair committee who made it all possible. Our school earned 1000 Scholastic Dollars that will be used to purchase books for the school library technology center. More detailed information regarding the recognition to come.

SES First Lego League State Championship

Congratulations to former Section students Elise, Hannah, and current student MaryAnn. They did an outstanding job representing their schools and the Mukwonago School District at the  FIRST Lego League State Championship in Janesville.

 

Their team (the “Wonder Petz”) won two awards: Innovative Solution Award and Global Innovation Award for their invention, the “Intellicollar”. They were nominated for two other awards: Robot Strategy & Innovation Award and Championship Award. In addition, they have been invited to the Legoland North American Open Competition in Carlsbad, CA in May.
