Big Bend Elementary earns 2nd Place in Scholastic's National Book Fair Contest!
BBES is proud to earn once again a second place in the Scholastic Book Fair’s Fall 2016 National Elementary Contest! Congratulations to Julie Kastello and the book fair committee who made it all possible. Our school earned 1000 Scholastic Dollars that will be used to purchase books for the school library technology center. More detailed information regarding the recognition to come.
Rotary Teacher of the Month! Kevin did an outstanding job
representing our school and presented a great discussion about how he and his teammates are improving writing
instruction. The Rotarians were very appreciative and spoke highly of his presentation. Great job, Kevin
Congratulations to former Section students Elise, Hannah, and current student MaryAnn. They did an outstanding job representing their schools and the Mukwonago School District at the FIRST Lego League State Championship in Janesville.
Their team (the “Wonder Petz”) won two awards: Innovative Solution Award and Global Innovation Award for their invention, the “Intellicollar”. They were nominated for two other awards: Robot Strategy & Innovation Award and Championship Award. In addition, they have been invited to the Legoland North American Open Competition in Carlsbad, CA in May.
Section Elementary is honored to receive notice that our IPLC program has been nominated for the Trailblazer Spirit Award from the Institute for Personalized Learning. The award recognizes recipients who are transforming education and sharing what they are learning with others. Congratulations to our IPLC program on being nominated for this award. .
