My name is Daniel Bengs and I am a 6th grade teacher at Clarendon Avenue School in Mukwonago, Wisconsin.
I am a graduate of CarrollUniversity with a master’s degree in education. While I was there I was a resident assistant, went on yearly habitat for humanity trips as a worker and a supervisor, a member of CAB (College Activity Board), and a three year member of Challenge 2000+ (leadership program). I also ran cross country and played soccer while at Carroll. Due to the close proximity of Carroll and Mukwonago, I became the 5th and 6th grade Clarendon boys’ intramural basketball coach in 2001. After graduation from Carroll, I taught advanced math and special education classes at Swanson Elementary in Brookfield. Eleven years ago I was hired as an 8th grade teacher at Park View Middle School, and am now in my ninth year of teaching sixth grade at Clarendon.
I enjoy participating in sports. This summer I worked for my seventeenth year with the Milwaukee Brewers. I coach soccer at Mukwonago High School as well as play on a soccer team and play on numerous softball teams.
The 6th grade teachers at Clarendon have been working together to plan and brainstorm ways to have your child develop an independent love of learning, foster caring for others, and challenge students’ academic lives. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us. You can reach me at Clarendon between 7:50-3:45 at 262-363-6286 (ext 22049), email me at bengsda@masd.k12.wi.us or write in your child’s assignment notebook your concern. I’ll respond as soon as possible.
I look forward to working together this year and helping make the school year an exciting and enjoyable learning experience for your child!
