Hello! My name is Kyle Barton and I am in my sixteenth year as a Language Arts teacher at MHS. My wife Melissa is also an educator in the district and we live, along with our two young daughters, in North Prairie. I enjoy spending time with my family and coaching.
I have a Bachelors of Science in Secondary English Education from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, and a Masters in Education from the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse.
My teaching philosophy is to prepare students to be successful life-long learners capable of surviving and thriving in genuine social and/or employment environments. This is achieved by instilling in students the importance of hard work, determination, and the pursuit of excellence. Every student is capable of some measure of success in the classroom, and it is my responsibility to tap into that potential so that students can enjoy a lifetime of benefits from literature and composition, no matter their chosen profession.
It is my duty to encourage students to be active learners who are accountable for their success. Students will be challenged, and by accepting challenges students agree to put forth the required effort to attain success in the Language Arts.
