  • Department of Veterans Affairs

Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center 5000 W. National Avenue, Milwaukee, WI 53295 Dear Students, On behalf of the Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center patients and staff, we would like to extend our appreciation to you for your donation of Thank You letters for Veterans. It touches our Veterans hearts to know that they are thought of and remembered for the sacrifices they have made. Without your support, we could not provide for the smaller niceties that make hospitalization more bearable. The commitment you have shown to our patients demonstrates your concern for America's heroes, as well as the service our Veterans have given to our Country. Thank you for your continued support. Sincerely, Carrie Waschitz Chief, Voluntary Service

    Eagleville Butterfly Garden

With the help some very dedicated parent volunteers as well as generous donations, Eagleville students were able to plant their first phase of the butterfly garden. The garden is being used to release monarch butterflies that the science clubs are raising in the classrooms and then tagging for tracking purposes. The classrooms each have four or five monarch butterfly caterpillars. The students feed caterpillars milk weed leaves until they form chrysalises. When the butterflies emerge, they are tagged and released.
