THE SCHOLASTIC BOOK FAIR IS BACK! The Clarendon PTG will be hosting a Scholastic Book Fair during ”Grandparent Lunch Week”, October 13 -October 17 in the school Gym. Monday-Friday from 11:30 am-1:15 PM Wednesday Night from 3:30-8:00 PM Profits earned will be used to provide technology and books for the library, reading resource room and our classrooms. A brochure showing some of the titles available at the Scholastic Book Fair was sent home with your child. Teachers will choose books they would like for their classroom libraries. You may purchase these books for them from the Classroom Wish List tables you see upon entering the gym. Books make a wonderful gift for your teacher. We will also continue to participate in the All for Books program. Money will be collected in the classrooms during the week of September 29 - October 3: pennies on Monday, nickels on Tuesday, dimes on Wednesday, quarters on Thursday and any denomination on Friday. The top three classrooms will be able to spend the money they have collected on books for their own classrooms. All other money collected goes directly toward purchasing technology, books for the Clarendon Avenue School library, reading resource room, and other classrooms. All money collected provides more books for Clarendon, plus Scholastic will match our contributions by donating a book to one of three children’s charities for each dollar collected. Open Enrollment for the Mukwonago Area School District will be held from February 3, 2014 through April 30, 2014. Students in 5 year old kindergarten to grade 12 may apply to participate in open enrollment. To apply go to http://dpi.wi.gov/sms/psctoc.html . You may fill out and submit the application on-line. For the 2014-2015 school year, parents must apply no earlier than midnight on Feb. 3 and no later than 4:00 p.m. on April 30, 2014.
