Volunteer Opportunities

American Education Week (mid November)
Special daily activities to promote education and encourage students academically.

Baking
Provide a baked item, purchased treats, or specific food donations for various events. You will be contacted to see if you can contribute to one or more specific events.
 
Box Tops (All year)
Classroom assistants needed to count box tops.

Candy Bingo (Spring)
Assist with set-up, running the bingo games, and clean-up.
Chair: Kelly Bruhn
 
Conference Dinner (October)
Provide teaching staff with a relaxed evening meal on conference day. Help with planning, decorations, set-up, food donation, baking, serving or clean up.

End of Year Celebration
Help out at the end of the year celebraton with games and activities.

Expanding Horizons Day (Spring)
Help organize and set-up for the event which exposes children to different career opportunities.

Fall/Spring Book Fair (October/March)
Help set-up and take down, cashier and assist younger students with book selections. Shifts during the day or evening.

Fundraiser (Fall)
Assist with organization of orders, sales, and distribution.

Halloween Family Event  (October)
Help with set-up, clean-up, and /or other miscellaneous duties at the event.

Holiday Shop  (December)
Help with set-up, clean-up, assist students with making selections, checking out, and wrapping gifts,and  purchasing items .prior to the event.

Lunch Helpers
Volunteers help cooks in the kitchen with serving when special events occur such as Parent Lunch Week, Icecream Sundae Bar, Thanksgiving Feast, and Grandparent Lunch Week. (Between 11:30 - 1:00 p.m.)
 
Spring Dance (Spring)
Assist with set-up, event activities, and clean-up.

Summer Help (August)
Volunteers needed to assemble registration packets.
 
Teacher Appreciation Week (First week of May)
Volunteers determine daily gifts/snacks and activities to thank our teachers. One leader coordinates the luncheon held midweek, one coordinates the daily “Thank you” items and one coordinates the daily treats.
